I created Mane Character to offer the kind of alternative hair I struggled to find myself locally in Edinburgh - contemporary colours, ultra-realistic hairlines and natural-looking human hair.
As someone who has had alopecia for a number of years, I understand that hair is never just hair - it’s a really important part of how you recognise yourself. Based in Edinburgh, I offer private consultations and carefully curated range of human hair wigs that can be customised to suit you.
This is a deliberately low-profile service. Private consultations, a considered range, and an experience designed to feel calm and straightforward.

Every consultation is conducted by me personally, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, try different options and receive honest advice in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.

In Person Consultations
These take place at the Beauty Snug in the Craws Nest Collective in Edinburgh. This is a welcoming and discrete space where you can explore alternative hair in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.

Since all my wigs are human hair, they can be cut and styled to suit you.
All wigs are made to order within 6 weeks.
